Day 2 of the Colorado Trade Mission

Another great day is in the books and a busy one it was.  A morning briefing with the US Embassy kicked off our day.  From there we were fortunate enough to sit in on meetings with JETRO (Japan External Trade Organization) that offers a great deal of services to companies looking to set up operations in Japan.  For lunch we met with Keidanren (Japanese Business Federation) where executives from many of the top Japanese companies joined us including Canon Marketing Japan Inc., Sumitomo Corporation, Tokio Marine & Nichido Fire Insurance Co., Ltd, NEC Corporation, Hitachi and many others.  After a very interesting lunch and discussion between the Governor and the Federation we went on to the Panasonic Innovation Center and saw a great deal of their growth plans for the coming years.  To cap off the day we ended the evening at the house of the Deputy Chief of Missions of the US Embassy, Jason Hyland for a cocktail hour and reception.  It was a busy day, but offered many opportunities for both education and networking.  Exactly what you want out of a trade mission.
